Run and All – Landall’s FD aims for a PB

Running a business is a lot like running a marathon. It takes stamina, the right support team and determination to be the best mile after mile. Landall Services can help organisations to run that marathon with the latest office technology solutions, that cover everything they need to achieve their goals and get over the finish line.

This year though, we’re proud to support a member of the Landall Services family taking on a marathon of their own, literally.

From printing to sprinting

Our Finance Director, Steve Cook, is preparing to run in the 2026 London Marathon, the 26.2 mile route which starts in Blackheath and finishes at The Mall, weaving around some of London’s most iconic landmarks, including the London Eye and Buckingham Palace. Steve is tackling this challenge to raise money for The Children’s Trust, the UK’s leading charity for children and young people with brain injury and neurodisability.

From compassion to action

Steve’s connection to the charity runs deeper than the race itself: he has had the opportunity to visit The Children’s Trust on a few occasions, alongside his daughter who works there as a carer. During these visits he has seen first-hand the life changing work the staff do to better the lives of the children.

“I can’t express enough how deserving The Children’s Trust is, because without them, these children and many others like them would not receive the care they need.”

From miles to smiles

Every year, around 40,000 children in the UK acquire a brain injury through accidents or illness, often leaving them unable to walk, talk, or manage basic tasks. The Children’s Trust focuses on rebuilding skills, confidence and independence through therapy, play, creativity and education.

By providing access to expert rehabilitation and support, the charity gives children and their families the chance to live their best possible lives in the face of adversity. These services rely on donations, and that’s why Steve’s marathon effort matters so much.

From kilometres to kindness

Every bit of support helps Steve push through those final tough miles and makes a real difference to the children and families supported by The Children’s Trust. If you’d like to cheer him on, a small donation or even sharing his story goes a long way.
